Gardaí say they are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a dark coloured,medium-sized motorcycle with a driver and pillion passenger dressed in dark clothing in and around the area at the time of the shooting.2. #CAR COSTS: A new survey has shown that over half all Irish drivers are struggling to cover the costs of keeping their cars on the road. Several respondents said they paid their motor tax at three month intervals and some said they were forced to leave their car off the road for weeks or even months until they could afford repairs or their tax.3. #COURTS: Former Fianna Fáil councillor, Gary O’Flynn, has appeared in court charged with three counts of conspiracy to murder. The charges allege that on dates between October 1, 2012 and February 15, 2013, O’Flynn solicited a man named Roy McCarthy to murder three people.4. #DISCOVERY: Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the discovery of a foetus in a residential area in Clondalkin. It is believed the discovery was made by residents who alerted gardaí yesterday and it is unknown at present whether the remains are human.5. #OFF THE BALL: The five presenters of the award-winning sports programme ‘Off the Ball’ have resigned from Newstalk. In a statement, Newstalk said sports editor Ger Gilroy will take over the running of the show, joined by mainstays of the Newstalk sports team Cian Murtagh, David McIntyre and Joe Molloy.
